The Story
Behind
the athlete.
Audrey has always hated sitting still. Growing up, her family hiked Table Mountain every Sunday, and movement became how she connected with people, with herself, and with her faith. Bodybuilding began as a pursuit of aesthetics - she wanted to be shredded, build a bicep vein, and compete, and with her knees already worn down from other sports, it was an arena where she could still push hard without breaking down further. Over time the motivation shifted: she trains now for the love of the journey rather than the look, pairing bodybuilding with dietetics to push what the body is truly capable of, physically and mentally.
Audrey is currently in prep for another NPC show this year, with training built around shoulders and glutes, hikes whenever she can fit them in, and rest days spent on padel or squash depending on her energy. Alongside competing, she is specialising in comprehensive sports nutrition - combining what she knows as a registered dietitian with what she lives daily as an athlete.
Audrey's guiding belief is simple: you are a slave to whatever overcomes you. Whatever controls a person - a habit, an appetite, a fear - owns them, but she holds that freedom is not something to fight for, it is something to walk in. She represents the refusal to act like a captive who has already been set free, and a reminder that nothing in this world was ever truly ours to keep.
"You're a slave to whatever overcomes you."
